Next Election running as Independent

March 3rd, How can you help today? Tell every person you pass on the street, every neighbor, every friend, & every co-worker that as your MLA my desire is to be a Voice of the People, for the People. Get every friend, every neighbor to Vote in Edmonton Meadowlark to speak loudly to a government WE as a voter are no longer going to allow these ruling parties to mandate their personal morality and tear away at every part of our civil rights as a free society!

Born and lived in Edmonton a majority of my 45 years and currently reside in the Meadowlark riding. (Meadowlark Area Map)

Seeking employment by my bosses, you the Informed Voters as YOUR MLA for Edmonton - Meadowlark under the Wildrose Alliance Party of Alberta.  If you don't live in the Edmonton Meadowlark riding, still please share this link to Inform others of a real choice. Links to each of the other Edmonton Candidates, is just a little further down
Wildrose Alliance TV Commercial - Two Minute

Why the Wildrose Alliance Party?  The main reason the simple fact that the party mandate to me and every other candidate is that:

I represent my constituents VOICE, and not only during campaign periods but during the entire time as your MLA. This follows my personal mandate, that I represent Your Voice. (the first in ARTICLE II – PRINCIPLES) How serious do I believe this? Read my Pledge (pdf link just below)

NEW* Sworn before Notary Public, Alberta - My Pledge to Edmonton Meadowlark constituents if Elected MLA.

Winning Campaign - majority of votes

Victory Campaign - 85%+ voter turn out, 25,000 votes for Your Voice and Sending the Message to Current Politicians, "Change in Representation is upon them!"    Yes Every Vote DOES Count.

NOTE & UPDATE

Please share this site link with anyone you know, as My Campaign is about Informed Voters, not brainwashing voters with sign after sign that only shows the desperation of candidates to get any vote any way without concern of that voter being informed of Who the Man or Woman they are voting for is.

I would state to not vote for a "Party" but more the candidate and how they will to represent YOUR Voice & Interests. If you want to examine the "Party" line, the Wildrose Alliance Party does not mandate its members to be "Yes Men"

To all personally in respect as concerned Albertans to our future economy, healthcare & safety:

I may be running in the Edmonton Meadowlark riding, but I would also include to all Albertans, as I am one as well.  I may be 1 vote and 1 voice in government, but I will be seeking for the support of every constituent of Edmonton Meadowlark as well as All Albertans to be united in support of my 1 vote.  That your typical "Politicians" will realize that my 1 vote carries not only the support but the majority voice of all Albertans.  That in this "Politicians" will know that opposition to the voice of the people will not go unnoticed next election time, and I will be sure to remind all Albertans how their riding candidate represented them.

In answer to your obvious question, Yes I plan to be 1 very LOUD Voice with 32,000 constituents and a majority of Albertans ( 2,252,104 eligible voters in the province of Alberta As of Nov 2006) in support of my vote on every issue.

Our current PC leadership in the debate spoke of "Building New Hospitals", when this statement has absolutely no relevance to a serious problem in our healthcare system. We don't employ enough staff to even have all the beds in our current hospitals open. Even though a three dollar lock and chain cut off the closed wards opens likely over 1000 beds across the province, again this will not solve the core issue. I have proposed to the Leader of the Wildrose Alliance Party, Mr. Paul Hinman, that all levels of public service employees be given the consideration of the same benefit given to elected officials (about 1/3 of income completely tax exempt), These people are in employment that is directly a service to you and I. This in turn would immediately result in the positions of; doctors, nurses, support staff & police officers and many more becoming more attractive for our youth to seek as a career, as well resulting in those currently in this province to remain in this province.

In a direct relationship the same "Plan" by our current Alberta government obviously has no plan for the economic correction this boom period will lead into. This reality will happen shortly after the U.S. elections are over and a U.S. government stops trying to hold up an over inflated economy to keep alive a chance for re-election of the same party. The very reason for this sudden Alberta Election call, and a very likely Canadian Federal Election call will precede this economic swing. Improving the odds that in 4 years time the economy will be coming back from the correction, providing our elected officials the perfect opportunity to claim the rebuilding of the economy was of their doing, when in fact this is common economic patterns.

300 Police officers added in 3 years results in about an additional 75 officers on duty at the end of this period (they work on a 4 shift rotation). Our crime rate has increased directly as a result of the number of officers on duty percentage relationship to the people in our province. I attempted to get these exact numbers from the Edmonton Police Dept. and have not heard back as of yet, but I would likely be very close in estimation the ratio percentage has decreased by over 50% since 1980. This proposal by the PC Party is an Insult! to law abiding citizens of Alberta that our safety is of that little importance to them.

Mr. Guyon:

I am concerned about the safety of my pension plan:
The power of my union representatives on the LAPP Board to protect my benefits has been taken away.
This means the current government has broken a deal with my union. You can now reduce my pension's benefits and there's nothing I can do about it!
That's not acceptable. You must put the LAPP's Board rules back the way they were before November 2007.
Please advise your position on this issue -.

Colleen

Colleen,

More than that has been torn away from our rights, and that I was told including the pipe fitters union not being able to strike.

For an Alberta government to think it has any right to mandate law to unions is just another notch in the step to a communist government that feels it can mandate its morality on the voters.

The same applies to telling a business how it can operate. If a bingo hall wants to have a smoking and non-smoking section and install excellent ventilation to prevent the haze of smoke in the smoking section that could also be separate from the non-smoking section, since when did we loose our rights as free people to choose how to own and operate our personal businesses?

In Canada (on my next step as a MLA to be a voice of Albertans too), to enforce and implement taxation on senior citizens is absurd. I do not have the exact breakdown, but the real fact is likely the millions spent to implement, process, handle, etc of tax on seniors would be the same as running a corner store and buying product for $10.00 and selling it on the shelf for $1.00. If not even less, when taking into account how few seniors even pay back anything for income tax.

Yes, I believe in the protection of our civil Rights!, and how wrong it is for our governments on all levels to slowly tear away at them.

Even if not elected, I have decided to continue forward in pursuit to be a Voice of the people, so in the next election to return a landslide defeat to these "ruling parties".

Best wishes

Richard Guyon

Hi Richard,
You are one amazing individual from what I have read in the attached.
Now, who do I make my donations to and where do I send it.
Doug J.

Hi Doug,
Thank you very sincerely, my hope is to win in a landslide upset and send a message to All government officials that change is imminent, and the citizens of this province are demanding more than anything representation of their voices and opinions.
I'm hoping that the voters of Edmonton - Meadowlark realize my campaign comes from my heart and ask any that read or hear my message are inspired to share the web site or my phone number with every neighbor & friend. So if they tell 2 friends and those 2 friends share with 2 other friends, by Election Day will result in one of the highest voter turn out landslide upsets in Alberta Election history.

I would ask that all donations be kept moderate & will supply a receipt for any donation amount, I intend on running the most cost efficient campaign in the entire province.

Best
Richard F. Guyon

Just as a note here on the website: Current Campaign Cost: $280.00 = 10,000 business cards, $500.00 = registration fee. Estimated maximum final cost to be an additional $560.00 for 20,000 more business cards.

Business cards, because this gives my constituents my Home & Cell phone # to be kept and used as information to contact their Elected MLA.

When Elected as your MLA, I answer my own phone anytime possible. Something I grew up with, accountability to my customers, and as MLA, the same accountability will be applied to my bosses (the voters).

Notable Accomplishments:

1. Owner Designer World Trade Center Memorial Tribute Site http://www.wtcim.net. This site has reached every corner of the Globe as well the designs were displayed on the 5th anniversary of 911 in New York.  The most humbling result was recognition in the receipt of a sweater and ball cap sent by the FDNY and NYPD as appreciation for my efforts.  With no advertising budget, this site has been viewed by over 100 million including the anniversary, and video presentations.  On the 5th anniversary it was also played as a video presentation in multiple areas at The University of Texas at Tyler as their main presentation for the day.

2. Three articles posted as topic headings on Trump University's Trump Blog as a result of being recognized as posting some of the most insightful replies.

3. Running a winning campaign in Edmonton Ward 1 when taking into account my campaign budget was less than 1 / 50th Bruce Campbell's and yet I received 1,336 votes to his slightly over 10,000.  This of course did not win the seat, but in the same respect I consider this a winning result in a relative comparison.

My Campaign:

I will not be running a campaign of signs every 10 feet down every road in Meadowlark, in fact you might not see even 1 with my name on it, this is Not my idea of how to speak to my voters, to brainwash them with your name, an effective Trick that will be used by every Majority Party, but one I will never resort to.

I welcome any calls, and will attempt to be available for any question or invite to a location where I can speak directly to the voters of the Meadowlark riding.

My clear intention is to be your voice, as a True representation of my bosses, the voters.

I am open to attend any personal home, business, club, hall, church or community league where my constituents are interested in sharing a discussion of the issues at hand.

I am available from 7:30 am - Midnight Monday thru Saturday to discuss your concerns over phone or to attend a meeting to discuss in person, and as your MLA, my availably will be the same time period with exception of sitting in session.

All email will be replied to. Richard.Guyon@wildrosealliance.ca

Before you mark my name on a ballot, I would prefer you hear me speak, or talk even briefly to me on the phone, or discussed with another who was inspired to share their opinion after realization of my honorable & genuine concern for my constituents.

It is time for a change in how politicians represent their constituents, and it is my desire to initiate this change in politics.

If I'm unavailable at by phone, please email and I will reply as soon as I'm in front of my computer.

For a little over 20 years I worked in Alberta's Oil Patch in a family run service business.

Since 1998 I've been an entrepreneur running Nexrun Technologies Inc. ( http://www.nexruntechnologies.com )

Currently my entire IT work for the last years and a bit has been with a start up business SIA Charts ( http://www.siacharts.com ).  This development will shortly bring to the consumer stock analysis tools that currently are available as well as tools and market analysis that are far beyond any product available (even on the institutional level).

In respect to education, my formal training is grade 12 and a 1st year electronics degree, with my business and computer background all coming from real world experience.  The computer background started over 30 years ago at the age of 13, and has been self taught ever since.  The ability to surpass conventional programming would be greatly influenced by a strong mathematical aptitude coming from a natural ability that was apparent to the education system from government testing, showing I was in the top 5% of all Canadian students every year between grade 1 thru 12.

I applied to be on The Apprentice (short video on Nexrun site) but since I did not hold a green card my application was turned down.  Barry Lenson (editor for Trump University and The Apprentice) conveyed his intent of support for any future application I would make to the show.  Barry was the key in bringing to the attention of the President of Trump University my responses to the Trump Blog that resulted in the invite to be the first outside the employment of Trump University to provide a topic heading, that also resulted in 2 additional postings.  It was my intent to cause this invite or another form of recognition in respect to my Apprentice application being turned down, as well using this as stepping stones to build up reference for the show to include Canadian citizens as valid candidates.

Even though I may be 45, I was offered a tryout as a rookie by the Saskatchewan Rough Riders for a kicking position 2 years ago.  I was unable to attend due to circumstances of an IT contract with a tight deadline.  April 29, 1981 10:15pm - A drunk driver ran a stop sign hitting my drivers door at over 70 mph pushing my car over 110 feet sideways almost ending my life.  Prior to this I was an athlete in multiple sports with a natural ability.  In Hockey (actually scouted by the NHL) & soccer as a goalie, football as quarterback or kicker, baseball as pitcher or fielder, & tennis.  This accident basically ended a potential career in any one of these sports as it took over 15 years for the back injury to heal enough that I could even run without a back muscle spasm causing me to collapse.  In the first 3 years after the accident these were so intense I would loose the feeling in my legs and collapse.  I was given the option for an operation, but with the results of a 50/50 chance of success to a wheel chair I quickly disconnected the idea.

The words "Quit" or "Can't be done" simply are not in my nature.   Even with the potential of being in position of a huge underdog, this will only double my effort.  This is obvious with my vie for a kicking position on a professional CFL team, as well my direction of strategy for my campaign.

I have experienced both the positive and negative side of business.  In the Oil industry, our company was fortunate to work for respectable companies.  As an IT contractor, I have seen a very negative side of business and see an immediate requirement for change in the legal system.  Almost 2 years ago I was under contract for a large project with a tight deadline that was completed ahead of schedule and provided in full to the customer.  A sad truth that once delivered any customer can simply refuse to complete payment, leaving a small company without any "Real" recourse.  Even taking this to court proved pointless in the respect any large business can simply twist the legal system by stacking up the lawyer bills.  It becomes pointless to continue even when a signed contract is in place because of the fact the company is holding and using funds that were not paid to complete the contract, while the contractor (small business) is scraping together every dime to try to keep up as a result of being shorted the remainder of the billing.  To any small business man, a $7,500.00 unpaid bill is very influential to the ability to continue operations as well as pursue legal actions that draw you away from your business.

In my campaign I will not be looking to put signage all over the Meadowlark riding.  To obtain uninformed votes is not my idea of winning an election, yet a common practice by political candidates with their own personal agenda in mind.  If my voters don't know who I am or a strong understanding of the Wildrose Alliance Party, I would rather they not vote for me. However if you have read to here, you already do know a great deal about "Who" I am.

I more than welcome an invitation to any home to speak with my voters / bosses / partners in working together to prepare this province for what I see as a potential serious decline in the world economy right after the upcoming US elections (something very apparent by the stock market).  This fact is obviously realized by our Provincial and Federal government with this quick election call and the feds speaking about a spring or summer election call.

As the MLA for Edmonton Meadowlark, my availability will continue to be as open (unlike the typical politician that is only interested during campaign periods).  I will be going to homes, community halls, and even holding my own forums to speak to my constituents during and after elected as the MLA.  As a highly qualified IT tech, I will also be implementing my own online system for the Meadowlark constituents to voice their opinion on issues once elected.  As a single voice in government I intend to use appearance in media as well as my voters voices as strength to bring forward agenda of importance to improve this province for All.

You as the media have in the past always been an influence to persuade voters, and I put forward to you the challenge to do so in a manner that is beneficial to our society.  To do so in a manner in respect to not the Party line, but in consideration to each individual candidate.  If you in any way question my honorable intent to be true to the voters of not only my riding or are interested in speaking directly in person, I will be more than happy to speak to your entire group.  I would require this Not to be used as media coverage or advantage, but to convey my intentions & words are spoken from the heart.  My campaign will be that of people speaking to people of my intent to represent them, not a flood of empty promises in flyers and signs every 10 feet down the road.  If the time permitted I would prefer face to face dialect with every voter, however with the time available I will be relying on the truth spoken from my heart to inspire those that I speak with to share with others.

I look forward to your reply.

Sincerely

Richard F. Guyon
